Exclude null values from a dashboard

You can remove null values from a field for an entire dashboard.

When you remove null values from a field at the global, dashboard level, you remove the null values from any visualizations that use the field. You can alternatively remove null values from each visualization tile individually.

  1. Open the Analytics app and on the analytics toolbar, click Dashboards.
  2. Open the dashboard you want to exclude null values from.
  3. Select Dashboard actions > Edit Dashboard.
  4. Select Filters > Add Filter.

The Add Filter dialog is displayed.

  5. Click the Advanced toggle to turn it on.
  6. In the Model drop-down list, select the model that includes the field with null values.
  7. In the Explore drop-down list, select "Survey Responses".
  8. In the Field text box, start typing the name of the field to select, or browse for it in the list below the text box, and then select it.
The Add Filter: <Field Name> dialog box is displayed.

  10. In the Configure Default Value drop-down list, select "is not null".
