Apply a weighting scheme to a crosstab report

Adjust the results of a crosstab report to correct imbalanced proportions.

1. Open the Analytics app and on the analytics menu, click Crosstabs.
2. At the bottom left of the page, under Weighting, click the Arrow button.
   
3. In the Weighting dialog, select a Weight Scheme from the list.
   Note: Only weight schemes can be selected. Templates are not available from the list.
4. Optional: Select one of the following options to create a brand new weight scheme.
   This can let you add new weight variables or delete them.
   • Click New Weight Scheme to get redirected to the Datasets page to create a new weight scheme. For more information, see Create a new weighting scheme.
   • Click Create from template to be redirected to the Datasets page to create a new weighting template. For more information, see, Create a weighting scheme from a template.
5. Click Next.
6. From the Weight Variables section, edit the target percentage for each response.
   Valid target percentages must:

   • Add up to 100% total.
   • Contain numbers only (not letters or special characters).
   • Be positive numbers (not negative numbers).
   • Bet set to 0 if the sample percentage value is 0.
   • Be set to a value above 0 if a value above 0 exists for the sample percentage.
7. Click Apply.
   Result: The application weighs report data according to the weight scheme created. When the process completes, the report displays the adjusted totals for answer categories.
