Weighting in Analytics

Follow this workflow to set up a crosstab report with weighting.

To apply weighting to a crosstab report is as follows:

1. Create a dataset with a new weighting scheme.

   An existing or a brand new dataset can be used to create a weight scheme. However, the dataset will need to include activities or profile variables to see the weighting menu.

   Data sources used as columns in a crosstab report can be adjusted in a weighting scheme to reflect proportions in an ideal scenario. Once you are finished with creating the weighting scheme, you can then:

   1. Save the weighting scheme as a template.

      If multiple datasets can use one template as a guideline, a weighting scheme can be use as a template to save time.

   2. Create a brand new weighting scheme from a template.

      Use the template as a guideline for a new weighting scheme to enhance it further to fit your crosstab report.

2. Apply the weighting scheme in a crosstab report.

   An existing or a brand new crosstab report can be used. The option of creating a brand new weighting scheme is available in the weighting menu. Once the weighting has been applied, view your weighting efficiency and adjust your weighting scheme to be closer to 100%.
